    BENEFITS TRI-LAKES CASA

    About Tri-Lakes CASA

Tri-Lakes CASA is an Arkansas-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for abused and neglected children. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates, and CASA volunteers speak up for these children in the courtroom and other settings to ensure their voices are heard. Tri-Lakes CASA serves Garland, Hot Spring, Clark, Grant and Pike Counties.

    The Need for CASA Advocacy

In Arkansas, approximately 58,000 investigations of child abuse and maltreatment occur each year. Of these, around 9,500 cases are confirmed to involve abuse, including physical, sexual, or a combination of both. These statistics highlight the critical need for advocacy and support for these vulnerable children.

    The Role of CASA Volunteers

CASA plays a crucial role in ensuring that the voices of all children are heard. There is no clear path for children in abusive and neglected environments to find a way out. A CASA advocate is there to listen, help, and most importantly, speak up for them. Children in these situations have a lot to say, but they need someone to help ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met. CASA advocates protect children from getting lost in the system and ensure they have access to a safe environment. CASA volunteers fulfill one of society’s most important missions: providing every child in our community with the safety and care they deserve.
